Ordered list quiz question - New July 2026!
An ordered list question asks learners to arrange a list of items in the correct order.
Learners can drag and drop the items into place. If they are using a mobile device, they can number each item to show the correct sequence.
This guide shows you how to add an ordered list question to your FlexiQuiz.
How to add an ordered list question to your quiz
- Create a new quiz or open an existing one to edit.
- From the Create screen, click + Add Element.

Select Ordered list from the choice of question types. You can either drag the question to the relevant place on the page or click the icon to add it to the bottom of the current page.
- The question editor will open. Enter your question or instructions in the Question box. If you have an Essentials plan or higher, you can also add media such as images, audio and video.

In the options boxes, enter each item in the correct order. The FlexiQuiz system will randomly shuffle the order of your answer options each time someone takes the test.
- To add more items to your list, click the + Add option.
- Set the scoring for the question. You can award points when the learner gets everything in the right order, or tick the Set option points to award points when the item is in the correct position.

To customize the settings, click on the Settings tab. Your options are:
Required: Learners must respond to the question before moving to the next page or submitting the quiz.
Set question categories: Add the question to a category in your question bank.
Show question feedback: Share feedback with the learner based on whether the answer is right or wrong.
- To add the question to your quiz, click Save.
