Help / Creating an online matching quiz

What is a matching quiz?

A matching quiz consists of two columns with items in the first column that test-takers need to connect to the correct option in the second column.

The first column items are called premises and can consist of words, phrases, images, audio, or even videos. The second column contains the responses where the test-taker will need to select the correct matching text.

Matching quiz questions are an excellent way to test the learner's recall knowledge, item association, and organization skills. Matching questions types are also known to be useful for students with low reading ability.

FlexiQuiz does not offer a specific matching question, but it's easy to create matching text questions using either the single choice question type or fill-in-the-blanks.

This guide shows you how to create an online matching test using the single choice question type (dropdown).
