Air (IATA) Recurrent Training Pre-Test
 

This practice test is a sampling of subject matter to be reviewed during the IATA 1-Day Recurrent Course. Should you struggle with the pretest it is strongly recommended that you attend the IATA 2-Day Initial Class.

1. Answer the following questions regarding a shipment of: "Varnish" packing group II, quantity 1L, packed into a non specification fibreboard box.

a. What is the Proper Shipping Name:

b. How much is allowed per package? 

c. What subrisk label must be applied?

d. Are there any special provisions? 

2. Chemical X displays the following properties: Flashpoint = 15° C (cc) Boiling point = 45° C

a. What is the primary hazard?

b. What is the subsidiary hazard?

3. A UN 4D box must use plywood that is at least 2-ply.

4. What are the four basic marks required for most packages? (select all four)

5. The CAO label is used on all packages loaded onto a Cargo Aircraft.

6. All inner packagings containing liquid must have closures held in place by secondary means or be packed in a leakproof liner and then placed in the outer packaging. 

7. The net or gross amount of dangerous goods must be written on all packages of dangerous goods.
