Spelling Test 1

 

 

St. Louis High School Rathmines and St. Clare's Primary School, Harold's Cross.     

 

Here is one of a series of tests created during a collaboration between St. Louis High School and St. Clare's Primary School, Harold's Cross.

Our work together involved first-year and transition-year students from secondary, and sixth-class from the primary school. Also, the parents of students in both schools made a terrific contribution: words, sentences and voiceovers. 

 

Instructions: 

  1. Listen to the audio to hear the full sentence.
  2. Fill in the missing word in the blank space provided.
  3. To practise, leave the spell-check on, on your phone/computer.
  4. To test yourself, turn spell-check and predictive text off. Otherwise, it's not a test!
  5. If you're stuck, google the following: how to turn off spell-check on (name your device). It's quick and easy to do.   

 

The pass mark is 70%.
