PE Mechanical HVACR Online Diagnostice Exam "A" (Free Version)

General Instructions:

There are 21 questions in this exam. You can answer all the questions using only the NCEES PE Mechanical Engineering Handbook (PEMH) as a reference. The level of difficulty is consistent with that of the actual test. 

This exam contains questions from every central knowledge area of the PE HVAC&R exam: Principles (Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Psychrometrics, Heat Transfer, etc.) and Applications (Heating/Cooling Loads, Equipment & Components, Systems & Components, and Supportive Knowledge). Hence, we recommend taking this test towards the end of your study plan.

You have 2 hours and six minutes to complete this exam. We recommend you set aside a time and place where you will not be interrupted. The clock indicating the time left will always be at the top right corner of the screen. If you need a break or are interrupted, you can save your work by clicking "Save and Continue" at any point during the exam. The system will then give you a unique URL with your saved results. When you use your unique URL to resume the exam, the clock will begin the countdown where you last left it. Closing your browser without clicking "Save and Continue" will not stop the clock or save your work. 

You will only be able to see one question at a time. You can flag any question and come back to review flagged questions. You will have a running count of questions you have answered to check if you have answered every question before submitting. You can only move forwards or backward one question at a time, just like in the actual exam.

It is helpful to have a two-screen arrangement. Have the reference handbook on another screen and use PDF software capable of drawing lines. You will need that for this exam. 

At the end of the exam, you will see a screen with your results showing the number of questions you answered correctly out of 21 and how much total time you spent on the exam. For this free version, you will not be able to see which particular ones you answered correctly and which particular ones you answered incorrectly or how long it took you to answer each question. You can take the exam as many times as you wish, but you must enter your information here again each time.

In the paid version of this exam, your results report will include which questions you answered correctly and which ones you answered incorrectly, and how much time you spent on each question. Additionally, you will get a document with step-by-step solutions in exquisite detail to every question in the exam.
