Introduction to Compulsive Behavioral Disorders is an introductory training designed to provide clinicians, educators, and helping professionals with a practical foundation for understanding compulsive behavioral disorders across the lifespan. The training explores the behavioral mechanisms that underlie conditions such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette’s Disorder and tic disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and related functional neurological presentations.

Presenter Information: Charles E. Galyon Ph.D.
Charles is a Licensed Psychologist at Knoxville Behavioral and Mental Health Services. He serves as co-chair of the OCD Training Committee for the Association of Contextual Behavioral Sciences and is an active member of a statewide professional group out of Vanderbilt University Medical School for the Center of Excellence for Tourette’s Syndrome. He is a co-facilitator in a Tourette Association of America online support group for individuals with Tourette’s and tic disorders. In practice, Dr. Galyon works primarily with children, teenagers, and their families to address concerns related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette’s and Tic Disorders, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), and Anxiety Disorders.
